Con esas dificultades pudieron sobrevivir a la agresividad de los Nuggets, encarnada en "Nene" Hilario, Chris Andersen , Danthay Jones ( si, increíble pero real ) y los primeros dos cuartos de Carmelo Antonhy ( Se fue al Half-time con 18 puntos y termino el partido con 21 puntos, expulsado por hacer 6 faltas ) El merito de los Lakers ( Vestidos de purpura y oro ) estuvo en no perder la cabeza, perdiendo en todo el partido, hasta los minutos decisivos, que fue cuando aparecieron las verdaderas estrellas de los Lakers, Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza y principalmente Kobe Bryant, con 41 puntos y este triple decisivo: Que hizo que los Lakers pasaran adelante en el marcador. El Ala-pívot de Sant Boi tuvo una mayor presencia ofensiva que en los otros dos partidos de la serie. Un muy buen arranque de Gasol en el ultimo cuarto logró que los Lakers se pusieran en ventaja por primera vez por 80-81. Hizo un doble - doble metiendo 20 puntos y 11 rebotes. En el peor momento del partido Fisher se empezó a dedicar a hacer perder el partido a los Lakers, primero se resbalo y les regalo la pelota a los Nuggets y después se pone a pelear con Kenyon Martin ( que encima es muchísimo mas grande que el, por ende K-Mart le pega un golpe y lo da vuelta ) y le cobran falta en ataque, después de esas dos estupideces los Lakers casi lo pierden, pero en los Lakers hay una máquina que responde al nombre de Kobe Bryant que fué capaz de salvar el partido. Los Lakers ya hicieron el trabajo demostrando que son capaces de los mejor y de lo peor, Ganandole a los Nuggets de visitantes, en una cancha donde los Nuggets se hacen muy fuertes, ya que lo habian demostrado con una racha en la que no perdían desde el 9 de marzo. Los Lakers deberian estar orgullosos ya que este triunfo vale oro, ya que, aparte del dato nombrado anteriormente, según las estadísticas, el equipo que ganaba este partido tenía el 73% de la serie ganada. -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------Ariza steals the ball! Houston por su parte respondía de su única manera posible, a través de la rapidez y del tiro exterior, pero anoche los Rockets estaban menos precisos que una escopeta de feria y el partido fue para los Rockets un festival de fallos.

El arranque del choque lo dice todo.13-2 para Lakers (Ariza 9 puntos) y Houston logrando su primera canasta de campo a los 7 minutos de partido.

Los Lakers deben ser favoritos en la final de Conferencia contra los Denver Nuggets. Por su trayectoria, por nombres y por su valía individual y colectiva. Pero sólo va a ganarle a Denver si juegan como jugaron este partido. Si juegan así, son imparables. Y si Gasol es capaz de sacar esa fuerza y de imponer su corazón, es uno de los verdaderos grandes de la NBA.
