Casi no fue partido, desde casi el inicio del mismo, San Martin sacó una diferencia de 9 en el primer chico (16-7), aunque el equipo dirigido por Hernan Laginestra se puso a solamente 4 para cerrar el primer cuarto (18-14). Ciclista de Junin venció ayer por 79-62 a San Martin de Corrientes y obligó a que la série regrese a Corrientes para un definitorio 5º partido para definir quien enfrentara la Unión de Sunchalez para el segundo ascenso a la LNB.

EL partido quedo definido ampliamente luego del segundo y tercer cuartos, (22-9 y 28-12) para llegar al inicio del último periodo con una diferencia de 69-37. Esta diferencia irremontable para un solo cuarto hizo solamente que este último estuviera de más y para que los visitantes pudieran reducir la diferencia para hacer un poco mas digno el resultado. La figura del partido fue el pivot Hakeem Rollins, con 18 puntos y 12 rebotes. Por el lado de los visitantes, el oriundo de Entre Rios, Luciano Gonzalez fue el único en anotas más de 10 puntos (12).

El quinto juego de la serie será disputado el domino 17 de mayo, a pesar de que estuviera designado para el martes 19, pero como ese día se disputará el quinto partido de la seria entre Atenas y Peñarol, se realizó el cambio mencionado anteriormente.

El Técnico Gabriel Piccato fue una pata fundamental en este nuevo titulo del equipo formoseño, que luego de su breve periplo en la 2005/06. Lo llamativo, es lo parecido de las dos campañas campeonas de La Unión, con record de 29-11 en la temporada 2004/05 y de 28-11 en la presente temporada. (Contando Primera Fase, Segunda Fase y Play-Offs). Igual, el dato a tener en cuenta, es que en ambas campañas, el titulo se dió el mismo día, si, tanto en la 2004/05 como en la presente, La Unión dió la vuelta un 12 de mayo.
